About natural ventilation

Mechanical ventilation includes the pulsion or extraction of air by interference of fans.

About heat recovery
Heat Recovery Ventilation or HRV consists out of a mechanical ventilation system combined with a heat exchanger and air ducts. The heat exchanger in HRV systems uses the warmth of extracted indoor air to heat the cold incoming air.
